Come to the Library's Community Room and meet with Senator Dan Kotowski's (D-33rd District) District Director, Janie Morrison. She will talk individually with residents to help solve whatever state government problems you might be experiencing. She will also bring free state brochures, including maps.  

Arts Alive Concert: Flashback Cabaret from Elvis to Ellington
Sunday, July 12
2:00 p.m.

Five experienced musicians known for their lively style, will entertain us on this mid-summer afternoon with favorite tunes we know and love. Come on out all you Elvis fans and let there be applause from us jazz lovers. While you sit back and enjoy the music, sip a good cup of coffee and treat yourself to a summer sweet.

Based on the book by Sophie Kinsella, a comedy about a young woman who lives with her best friend in a trendy part of town, and has a boring job that doesn’t begin to pay for her shopping addiction. Are you a library-lover looking for a way to give back to your community? Consider joining the Friends! The Friends always welcome new members, and there is no cost to join. Just call the library for details, or pick up an application the next time you visit the library. With the support of the Friends of the Rolling Meadows Library we are able to offer The Arts Alive Concert Series and a new movie each month!

Wanted: Used Books in Good Condition
The Friends ask for your help to make their book sales successful. Show your community spirit by donating books, CDs, videos, DVDs, tapes, records, sheet music, magazines, and maps in good condition. Drop off your donation at the Welcome Desk in the lobby. Donations are always accepted, but if possible, please bring items by July 11 to be processed in time for the Summer Sale. Feel free to ask for a receipt for tax purposes.

NEW! Ethernet Hook Ups
Bring your laptop to the library and get access to the World Wide Web.
We have added three ethernet hook up stations to our reference area. Sign up is the same as for the walk-up computers, no library card needed and a 30 minute time limit in effect when other patrons are waiting.
