Library Board Of Trustees

A nine-member Board of Trustees, appointed by the Mayor, oversees the library’s budget, expenses, and policies. Trustees serve for three-year terms and may be reappointed indefinitely. Officers are nominated and elected by the Board for one-year terms with reelection options. A City Council Representative attends board meetings and serves as the liaison between the city and the library board. A copy of the current Bylaws is available here.

Board meetings are open to the public and held every first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Rolling Meadows Library, 3110 Martin Lane. Please call the library at 847-259-6050 if you would like to attend a meeting and reserve your seat as space is limited.

President: Dick Wright, P.h.D., has worked in the strategic planning and organizational development fields for over 25 years and is a longtime resident of Rolling Meadows. "I find serving on the board rewarding because it gives me the opportunity to interact with dedicated staff, trustees and patrons in a truly meaningful way."

Vice President: Jean Threadgill has substituted in District 15 for over 20 years. "I welcome the opportunity to help give to the community that my family and I have benefitted from for so many years."

Secretary: Marsha Kremer has lived in Rolling Meadows for 32 years. "I appreciate the value of a good library and want to do all I can to maintain our Library’s excellent reputation."

Treasurer: Mary Hart has a paralegal background. She and her husband enjoyed raising a family and living in this town for the past 35 years.
