Singer/Songwriter Linda M. Smith will
share her musical talent with the art of Italian artist Artemisia
Gentileschi, who became the first female painter to achieve recognition in
the male dominated art world of the 17th century. Artemisia’s life and work
also come alive in two books the library owns, “Women
Who Changed the World", and New York Best Selling
author Susan Vreeland’s “The
Passion of Artemisia".

Travelogue: Modern Iran -
Ancient Persia

predates the 7th century Islamic invasion. Its ancient kings preceded the
Greeks in promoting human rights and religious tolerance. Now Iran is an
