Teen Summer Reading Club

We would like to thank you all for participating in Paws to Read this summer. We had our highest numbers ever this year!

Audiobook Sync

AudioBook Sync had a very successful summer too. We will be partnering with them again next summer. If you are new to AudioSync, it is a free program that offers two free downloads a week from the middle of May through the middle of August. One book is a classic and the other is a newer teen fiction book. Watch the Teen Scene in May for the new poster and bookmarks with each week's titles listed.

An evening with Leslie Stella

Chicago author Leslie Stella visits the Mount Prospect Public Library to talk about her 2014 Suburban Mosaic Teen selection novel, Permanent Record, a story of racial and social justice. Stella will talk about where she gets her inspiration, how publishing works, and what aspiring writers can do to get their work noticed. As a founding editor of the Chicago politics and satire magazine Lumpen, Stella can also speak to the DIY publishing process. Copies of Permanent Record, most appropriate for ages 14 and up, will be for sale at the event, and Stella will be signing copies following her talk.
