A raging blizzard makes driving dangerous and communication haphazard. The whole novel takes place in about a 12 hour period of nonstop action and the descriptions have you feeling like you’re in that blizzard.

This two part story starts off in Angel's Gap, Maryland in 2003 when a private investigator, Max Gannon, is trying to track down some stolen diamonds that were stolen by Lane Tavish's father. The second part is 56 years later, and the story picks up with Max and Lane's granddaughter who ends up in the middle of an investigation by Lt. Eve Dallas to find the last batch of diamonds that were never recovered in 2003.
