Teen Study Sessions

Details We will once again be hosting our Teen drop-in study sessions for end-of-year finals! The Teen Area is open for studying, or book a Study Room in the Reference Area.

Details Lose yourself in a book, unleash your creativity, challenge your gaming skills, and catch some good vibes this summer. Bring a friend or hang solo in the Pursuit of…

  • Good Vibes: Take it easy in one of our comfy chairs, charge your phone, and enjoy the air conditioning!
  • Great Reads: Grab a copy of your summer reading book, then find a cozy spot in our reading area or take it home. We have books for Rolling Meadows and Fremd High Schools.
  • Creative Flow: Our Art Cart will be front and center this summer! Feeling creative? Use markers and colored pencils with our adult coloring books or blank paper to make something awesome.
  • Elite Skills: Drop in anytime and explore our large collection of games! Play at the library or check them out to play at home. Master your skills or learn some new ones!

Dog Days of Summer: Paws-itive Hangout

Details Celebrate the dog days of summer with some friendly four-legged visitors! Stop by to relax, say hello, and enjoy spending time with calm and attentive therapy dogs. Whether you want to give some pats, snap a photo, or simply hang out, it’s sure to be a paws-itively good time. All ages are welcome. Our canine companions come from the Masonic Association of Service and Therapy Dogs (MAST), and they’re always happy to make new friends.


Mermaid Sugar Body Scrub

Trivia Under the Stars

Teen Craft Kits

New seasonal craft kits are available every month for Rolling Meadows residents ages 13+. Pick up at the Readers Services Desk beginning the first of every month.

The crafts can be enjoyed at home or in the library using supplies from the Art Cart. You’ll find directions, resources, and basic materials in each kit. Advanced crafters are encouraged to use materials they have at home to take them even further.
